So, let’s begin with the basic question, what is sports management?
Now if you want to know bookish definition than this term is self explanatory i.e. it is management of sports related activities and the persons\players involved in the game.
Sports Management is the study of planning, supervising and organizing various sporting activities like international and domestic tournaments for cricket, football, hockey, F1, golf, and several other games. Sports Management Courses inculcates leadership qualities in an individual and helps him or her to coach, manage and train sportsmen coming from various fields of sporting activity.
I always wanted to do something in sports but as I belongs to typical middle class Indian family, our parents aim is that there son/daughter should do graduation most likely engineering or doctorate rather than killing time in playing sports and consider it as profession, so they say, listen child "Study hard, do not waste time in playing ".
Thinking of our parents is somewhat true as future of sports person is very blur in India unless you are a good cricketer as cricket is only sport in India which is very successful, but even in this sport if you look at grass root level we still lacks in basic sports facility and infrastructure.
I think, I am going out of context may be some other day I will crib Indian sports scenario, so coming back, sports management will be an opportunity for all those graduates who still want to be part of sports.
So, lets do it, but from where?
Billion dollar question!!!!!!! To answer this I will write some other day as my search is still on.
